Haitian Harvest Dinner Fundraiser 11/08
On Saturday, November 29 we held a harvest dinner, Haitian style, at the Elmwood Avenue Church of God in Providence.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make the evening such a success: to Pastor Simon of EACOG, and also to Pastor Rhau; to Sophie Eugene for doing such an amazing job as emcee; to Mrs. Lemec and all the women who cooked and served; to M.K. St. Louis the chef who kept everything moving in the kitchen; to Ben-Oni Jean-Pierre who coordinated the sound and designed a gorgeous flyer for the event; to Diane Whatmough for coordinating the silent auction; to Sterling St. Louis for the decorations; to all the dancers and singers who lifted us up with their talents and praise; and of course to all our faithful friends who came out to help us set up, tear down, donate auction items, and run everything smoothly. We could never have done this without all of you, and we thank you for blessing us and the people of Lamothe with your time, energy, and gifts.
It was a wonderful evening with fantastic food, and we had to get two extra tables out! Over 200 came out to support our cause, thank you!
We raised just over $2,400 and it will all go towards next summer’s construction and well plans.
