Crisis in Haiti
Rising energy costs have raised the price of food globally. Even more people are starving leading to violence and riots in countries like Haiti and Egypt. HCHF is running a food drive to buy food in the US and deliver it to the children of Lamothe, Haiti.
2010 Missions Trips
We have at least two mission trips lined up for the spring (medical trip) and summer of 2010, We are encouraged by the wide interest in the HCHF mission trips as groups from a range of local churches are interested in participating,

Archictural plans for the school
in Lamothe were unveiled at the last meeting in January. The school was designed by Haitian engineer Alemy Mondestin, who lives and works in Rhode Island. The plans were exhibited at the coffeehouse fundraiser on Februay 9.
Changes in the Board of Directors Dr. Tom Mancini has joined the Board of Directors for HCHF. Tom has been encouraging and advising us for over a year, and last November he visited Lamothe with Marie and a team of nurses to conduct our first medical missions outreach. His knowledge and experience is invaluable to us, as is his inspirational faith and shared excitement about the vision for Lamothe. We are thrilled to have him join us. Tom is also the president of a non-profit org. called Clinics of Hope, which has been building and staffing medical clinics in Togo, West Africa.
